Waka Nusa Resort located in Nusa Lembongan, East Bali.

Many years ago, Bali was attached to Java, Sumatra and Malaysia and Lembongan Island was attached to Lombok, Flores, Timor and Australia. During the 19th century, a British Scientist, Wallace stated / discovered that the Indonesian Archipelago could be divided by an imaginary line which later became known as the “Wallace Line" in our encyclopedias.

According to his intensive survey, all land to the West of this line belonged to the Asiatic continent : flora, fauna, ram forest, tigers, elephants, etc… and all land to the East belonged to the Australian continent with its specific dryer climate, bushes, big lizards and marsuliai…The "Wallace line" was subsequently drawn between Bali and … Lembongan Island.

In 1986, a Frenchman and the skipper of a sailing yacht was visiting the Archipelago on his way to Europe and dropped anchor in the bay of Tanjung Sanghiang on Lembongan Island.This is where he discovered the magical location of what would later become the Waka Nusa Resort. The skipper having helped develop the resort has since sailed on. He now lives in Australia.

Nusa Lembongan is situated 12 kilometers East of Bali. The resort is facing Sanur and the well known Gunung Agung volcano (3,100 meters) and because of its isolated location and limited infrastructure, the Island has been preserved from the growth and progress that has evolved in Bali over the last ten years. The Hindu population of 3,500 divided into 2 villages and is still reliant on seaweed farming and fishing and this is the economic resources of the Island to this day. Here, time has stopped and the Balinese traditions and culture are still the same as they were many years ago.

• Extended check out until 6.00 PM will be charged 50% from room rate & full rate will be charged if checking out after 6.00 PM.
• High season (15 July - 31 August 2010) & peak season (20 December 2010 - 5 January 2011) surcharge US$ 27 nett /night.
• 50% from total room blocking charge prior to cancellation within 21 (twenty one) days before arrival at low season or 35 (thirty five) days at high season & peak season.
• No show, any cancellation noticed less than 7 (seven) days prior to arrival, early check out or any reduction period of stay will be charged 100% of the total reservation value.
• Third person or extra bed required at US$ 37 nett /bed /night inclusive breakfast.
• Return boat transfers service available at US$ 56 /person for adult and US$ 28 /person for children (5 - 11 yo), inclusive hotel transfers within Sanur, Kuta, Seminyak, Jimbaran and Nusa Dua area.
• Children from 6 - 11 yo gets 50% discount from adult's meal charge, normal extra bed charge applies.
• Children from 0 - 5 yo gets complimentary breakfast and extra bed set-up.
• Baby sitting service is available on request at US$ 7 nett /hour, advance reservation required.
